Privacy policy
Effective 3 July 2026
The short version: your quotes, your prices and your clients' details belong to you. We store them to run the app, we never sell them, we never pool them with other businesses, and there are no ad trackers anywhere. Ask and we erase everything.
Who we are
Tradeeze (tradeeze.com.au) is quoting software for Australian tradies. This policy explains what we collect, where it lives, who processes it and how you get it back or get rid of it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles as our baseline, whether or not an exemption would technically apply to a business our size. Questions: hello@tradeeze.com.au.
What we collect
- Your account — an email address and a password. The password is stored only as a salted hash (Argon2); we cannot read it.
- Your business profile — business name, licence details, labour rates, margins, and your logo if you upload one.
- Job captures — the voice notes, photos, measurements and text you record on site to describe a job.
- Your pricing — supplier invoices, price lists and prices you type in, plus what jobs actually cost at close-out.
- Your quotes — every quote you draft, including your clients' names, addresses and contact details.
- Technical basics — server logs (IP address, timestamps, requests) kept for security and debugging.
Your clients' details
Quotes contain personal information about your clients. We hold it solely to draft, host and email quotes on your behalf — nothing else. The hosted quote page is reachable only by the unguessable link you choose to send; there is no public directory of quotes.
How we use your data
To draft your quotes, learn your pricing from your closed jobs, and send quotes to your clients when you tell us to. Your pricing and job history improve your own quotes only — they are never pooled across businesses, never used to price anyone else’s work, and never sold or shared for marketing.
AI processing
Tradeeze drafts quotes using Anthropic’s Claude models. Your job captures and pricing context are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce the draft. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Every draft comes back to you for review — nothing is sent to your client without your sign-off.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored on our server in Helsinki, Finland (hosted by Hetzner), protected by TLS in transit. Encrypted backups are kept in Cloudflare R2 object storage; they are encrypted before they leave the server with a key that is not stored on it, and each backup is deleted after 14 days.
Who else processes it
- Anthropic (US) — AI drafting, as above.
- Stripe (US/AU) — billing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Resend (US) — delivers quote emails to your clients.
- Cloudflare (global) — DNS, network edge and encrypted backup storage.
- Hetzner (Finland) — server hosting.
That means some data is processed outside Australia — in Finland and the United States — by the providers above, each under their own privacy and security commitments. We don’t disclose your data to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
None. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no marketing pixels — not on this site and not in the app. The app keeps a session token in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in; that’s it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account any time by emailing hello@tradeeze.com.au from your account email: your quotes, pricing, learned model, uploads and sign-in tokens are erased immediately, and encrypted backups containing them age out within 14 days. You can also request a complete export of your data (quotes, pricing, learned model) in a machine-readable format first — we’ll send it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, export, correct or delete your personal information at any time. Email hello@tradeeze.com.au and we’ll respond promptly. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and note the new effective date at the top. We won’t quietly weaken the commitments above.
